n UTV has a number of films scheduled for release. First is Dilli 6 starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor being directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
n PNC’s Ugly and Pagli, starring Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorey directed by Sachin Khot. PNC is also making another Devdas. Sudhir Mishra chooses to tell the story of Devdas again set in contemporary times. This film stars Shiney Ahuja, Lara Dutta, Mahesh Manjrekar and Kirron Kher.
n Anil Kapoor Productions’ Shortcut starring Akshaye Khanna and Arshad Warsi is also in the pipeline.
n Yash Raj Films have only three releases this year as against five, in 2007. Besides Tashan, the banner’s first animated film Roadside Romeo is being made by actor Jugal Hansraj who is making his directorial debut. The voice-overs for the film have been given by actors including Saif and Kareena.
n Aamir Khan Productions’ third film Jaane Tu Ya Jane Na starring Imran Khan and Genilia D’Souza is also coming up. This film marks the debut of Aamir’s nephew Imran and director Abbas Tyerwalla.
n There’s Siddharth Anand’s untitled venture with Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Minissha Lamba. Fashion starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Mugda Godse, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is also looked forward to in a big way. Shyam Benegal’s Mahadev Ka Sajjanpur starring Shreyas, Amrita Rao, Ravi Kissen, Rajeshwari Sachdev and Divya Dutta.
