Amy Winehouse is reportedly being urged to check into a US rehab facility. The troubled singer, who was recently cautioned for common assault after a night of wild partying, has been advised by friends and her management to seek help at Arizona’s Meadows centre. A source said, “Amy is stubborn but her people, as well as her friends, are keen to get her on the mend. She has already tried rehab in the UK, but the problem is that when she comes out it’s hard to protect her.
Arizona is far away enough for her to get her head together and really focus on her career. She has been working on her album, which is brilliant, but it wouldn’t take much for her to get distracted by bad influences.” This wouldn’t be the first time Amy has entered rehab. Last August, she checked into Britain’s Causeway clinic following a drugs overdose.
In January, the 24-year-old singer was treated for her drugs problem at London’s Capio Nightingale Hospital after she was filmed smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine. Meadows rehab facility has helped several troubled celebrities in the past, including supermodel Kate Moss, who spent time there in 2005 after images of her reportedly snorting cocaine were released.
