Kamal Rajni and mani ratnam join hands

There is a big buzz going around kollywood and movie fanatics here are agog because Kamal and Superstar Rajni are likely to share the screen in a mani ratnam film.All this speculation arised after Rajni and maniratnam met twice in recent times , once at kamal's residence and again at Ragavendra kalyana mandapam which is owned by the superstar himself. It is also believed that the movie is going to be produced under kamal's banners. The two moguls of tamil film industry are going to work together after thier 1977 blockbuster 'Pathinaru Vayathinile'. ManiRatnam has worked with both kamal and rajni and the two movies were mega hits. I am very eager, like many other movie maniacs to see this awesome threesome in action.

Rihanna Is a Lot Smarter Than She Looks - Apparently

Just have a look at beautiful Rihanna on the cover of Peach magazine– and say no more. This girl seems to move on through the music world with ease and grace and common sense – and I'm sure everyone agrees she would definitely make for a nice model if her time wasn't taken up by singing, looking totally hot and making silly blunders about Britain not being part of Europe.

But who cares about that? Right. Most of us simply want her to keep singing and keep taking as many of those clothes off. Or something along those lines. But we haven't spent too much time asking ourselves what more there is to her other than singing and looking pretty - and by the looks of her latest interview, there's quite a big part of Rihanna about which we don't have a clue.

Like for example the fact that her relationship with her father is a very strained one. We have to remember here that on previous interviews she has touched upon the fact that her father was a drug addict. He has eventually beaten his addiction, but his love for cocaine and the arguments that shook her family as she was growing up left her struggling to trust the people around her.

"I am actually embarrassed by that" Rihanna says when asked about her relationship with her father. "I don’t like speaking about it because I am not proud of it. But it is something that helped make me who I am today. Now people know that I am not perfect and that I had real conflicts. My dad is not pleased, because he is embarrassed. We still have not sat and had a conversation about it".

Also, when it comes to speaking about her past image Rihanna admits that she had to lead a constant struggle against her initial marketing team, which she eventually fired. "I felt like my girlie image was boring and contrived and generic. I was so restricted. I could not wear red lipstick. If I did I would get cursed out by my marketing person. I did a big performance on an awards show and I won some awards and [was happy] , but as soon as I got off the plane, I got the nastiest email from her about [my looks]. I then realized she was not treating me like a human being so I cut her off". Good for you, girl – although that does require some serious guts.

But now she has Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland on her team, writing her songs and giving her good advice. Like she has stated on other occasions, Rihanna is well aware that she is a role model for many people out there. "I'm very aware of the impact I have on people's lives", she insists, "so I only wanna make positive ones. Why not help? Be that example they can follow".

And having seen what drugs can do to a family, she won't be doing a Britney on us. "I can't understand how people let it get that far, and in control of them. To me, you have to have control". Better hope she means that – because we sure want to see her around for a very long time from now on.

SRK gets back to earlier hairstyle

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to chop his little pony tail which he has been sporting nowadays. He is planning to get back to his old hair style. The actor has already shot for a new cola ad featuring John Abraham in his new look. Last week, he was also seen shooting for his home production Om Shanti Om’s item number with long hair.

But the actor is getting back to his original style for professional reasons. The Om Shanti Om actor had earlier shot for Viveck Vaswani’s Dulha Mil Gaya, and to maintain a constant appearance, Shah Rukh will have to go back to his usual look. When contacted, his producer-friend Viveck says, “Shah Rukh had promised to get back to his original look whenever I would announce the schedule of the film. We have to shoot the portions involving him on a cruise liner. I am waiting for the rains to subside because it is risky to shoot in the rains.”

The film has been in the making for some time and it is reported that it has been delayed due to date problems with SRK. Viveck quickly defends Shah Rukh by saying, “There has been no delay from him. He has been very cooperative throughout. We have just 10 days of shooting left.” He adds, “There have been other problems which delayed the film.” The film stars Sushmita Sen, Fardeen Khan and newcomer Ishita Sharma in the lead roles. Shah Rukh plays an important but brief role.

Vivica finds Simpson to be fabulous co-star

Jessica Simpson is no diva, says her latest movie co-star. Vivica A. Fox, who appears alongside the blonde in Major Movie Star, insists rumours that Jessica behaved like a spoilt brat throughout filming are just vicious lies. She told People magazine, “Those vicious lies they put out were just that lies. She was so much of a team player. She was gracious and so down-to-earth.” Vivica insists Jessica, who plays an out-of-work movie star who finds herself financially ruined, worked hard and made a lot of sacrifices.

She added, “She showed a lot of physicality, like 90 per cent of all her own stunts, and she sacrificed so much of her body for this movie.” The 43-year-old actress, who plays a tough sergeant helping Jessica’s character get back into shape also revealed how brave Jessica was when the singer accidentally injured her nose with a prop gun.

She recalled, “During the scene she looked really intense, when I looked in her eyes, and I just thought she was really into it. But when the director Steve Miner yelled, ‘Cut,’ Jessica came over to me and said, ‘Vivica I hit my nose with the gun.’ We got ice immediately. Most girls would’ve stopped right then and there, but she was ready to do another take. She’s wonderful.”

Kate rekindles romance with Doherty

Kate Moss has reportedly rekindled her romance with Pete Doherty. The supermodel, who dumped Pete in June after he apparently cheated on her with South African model Lindi Hingston is said to have spent five nights with the troubled rocker at the exclusive London hotel Claridge’s.

Sources claim Kate, who has just returned from a holiday in Spain, has been miserable since the split and has told the Babyshambles star she wants him back. One told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “Kate has been like a moth to the flame. When she got back to Britain, they met up at the hotel. He cried and she cried. She said she had been avoiding him because she had promised everyone from her managers to her mother that she would. She told him, ‘It’s not me. It’s just what they all made me do.’”
During one late-night heart-to heart, Kate told Pete she was miserable without him and desperately happy with him.”

News of the reconciliation has apparently devastated Kate’s mum Linda as she thought her daughter was finally over Pete, who sold a story about his relationship with the 33-year-old beauty. The source added, “Linda thought that once Pete spoke publicly about their relationship, there was no way back. But Pete has been telling Kate he was tricked and didn’t know what he was doing. Kate is clearly smitten, she can’t get the guy out of her system.” Kate, who has a four-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, from a previous relationship began dating Pete in January 2005 after meeting him on her 31st birthday party.

Britney refuses to sing duet with Justin

Britney Spears refused to duet with ex-lover Justin Timberlake. The troubled Toxic singer mysteriously pulled out of recording the track, which was due to be produced by Timbaland, with her former boyfriend last month. A source told the New York Post newspaper, “Timbaland set aside a week out of his crazy schedule to do this and then, just before she was supposed to fly out, Britney abruptly cancelled the session and refused to do the song. It’s crazy. She’s looking for a comeback, and this would have not only been a huge hit, but something she could have opened the MTV Video Awards with it and really blown everyone away.”

The duet was set to be recorded at Timbaland’s Virginia Beach studio and Justin reportedly wrote the track especially for Britney. Britney’s record label Jive is said to be worried about the star’s erratic behaviour and had hoped the duet would resurrect her faltering pop career. Another source added, “Everyone is worried. In her mind, her album is done and she’s done enough work. She’s an easy target right now, because she’s sick. She needs help. It’s sad what she’s got. We’ve heard it’s like bipolar disorder and can easily be treated with medication, but she won’t do it. People at Jive have been with Britney since album one, and have an investment in her. They have faith that once the material is there, she will become focused and step it up. But at the end of the day no-one can do it for her.”
