Silambarasan, known for youthful action roles, has stepped into a different role. He plays a pious man in his forthcoming film Silambattam. The movie, which is launched tomorrow, will have him playing the role of a temple priest.
The priest, however, will turn a warrior when getting rubbed on the wrong side.
The movie is said to have two heroines one of whom is tipped to be Sana Khan from Mumbai. The film will be the 25th production of Lakshmi Movie Makers. It will be a maiden venture of cinematographer Saravanan as director.
Simbu’s Kaalai might hit the screens by Pongal, 2008 while his Kettavan is shelved for the time being.
Going by the remix mania, Silambattam is believed to have the classical song "Nalamthaanaa" from Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Thillaana Mohanambal’.
